A Promise to our Father

In 1958, two nine-year-old boys met as neighbors and became best friends. Their fathers had each experienced the hell of war—one as a victim of the Nazis, the other as a soldier and liberator. The boys made a promise to their fathers to share their families’ remarkable experiences and ensure the world never forgets the horrors of the Holocaust. A Promise to Our Fathers is a documentary film that recounts this special story of Holocaust survivors who lost everything but each other and an Army/Air-Corps medic who treated survivors in the Dachau concentration camp. It’s a moving tribute to the power of survival, to friendship and to a commitment to make a difference in the fight against anti-Semitism.
