The actor, author and activist Hannes Jaenicke uses the attacks on the cultural sites of Palmyra, Nineveh and Nimrud as an opportunity to embark on a journey around the world. He explores the question of how people can maintain their cultural identity. This trip takes him to the United Nations in New York, UNESCO in Paris, the Holocaust Museum in Washington and the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation in Berlin. In the process, he meets people who are committed to preserving cultural diversity and talks to them about their commitment and their projects.
