Eruv

The eruv, literally “mixing,” is a rabbinic concept that ritually combines courtyards, mixing the private and public domains to allow practicing Jews to travel and carry freely on Shabbat and holidays. This short film study revisits the halachic idea of eruv as on opportunity to re-vision urban space through the practice of urban place-making.
