A Special Day

A somewhat diffuse concept tends to show the Italian racial laws, promulgated on November 17, 1938, as mild and "rose water." After a tenacious search that led Claudio Della Setato find in Buenos Aires some non-professional footage from the 20s and 30s of the early 20th century, the only ones known to date related to with Italian Jewish families of those years. From the restored material emerged the impulse to make this film that, mixing documentary and fiction, brings out to the light, exciting and involving, some of those events.
