Holy City

In Jerusalem, it’s not unusual to wake up in the morning and find that all the outdoor ads near your house that depict women have been defaced. Some ultra-Orthodox Jews believe that any depiction of the female form is immodest and some will even go out at night and deface such depictions. This animated short by Betzalel students Inbal Bentzur and Mor Galperin depicts one such Jewish vigilante who parkurs throughout Jerusalem while spray painting the eyes of offensive depictions of females. At a visit to the Kotel it gets trippy when it turns out that the holy city of Jerusalem is in fact a beautiful woman and she doesn’t think much of our Jewish vigilante’s efforts on her behalf. So she bemusedly sends him packing
