Holocaust Survivor Band
Saul Dreier and Reuwen Sosnowicz’s recently founded Holocaust Survivor Band has become an overnight sensation. Both retired to Florida, music has always been a tool of survival for them. Mr. Dreier, the 89-year old drummer, was born in Krakow. For him and Mr. Sosnowicz, an 85-year-old Polish accordionist, music in the concentration camps was recovery. In the film they talk about the bittersweet memories of childhood, and why they’re spreading the sound of klezmer well into their golden years.
