Carl Lutz

As a Swiss diplomat in Budapest during the 2nd World War, Carl Lutz saves tens of thousands of Jews from sure death. Lutz falls in love with one his rescuees, leaves his wife for her after the end of the war, and moves with his new love and her daughter to Bern. But instead of being welcomed home as a hero, Lutz is investigated for having exceeded his authority. Until his last dying day, Lutz bitterly fights, in vain, to regain reputation.
