My Best Holidays
After catching her husband Claude (Philippe Lellouche, who also directs) in bed with another woman, Isabelle (Julie Gayet) demands that the family vacation in Le Rocher Abraham, a little town in the Brittany region of northwestern France where she was born. With their young sons and mother-in-law Mamie (Nicole Calfan) in tow, the holidaymakers are joined by two other bellbottomed couples. Over the long hot summer of 1976, family and friends rekindle relationships, while the children make memories discovering the world of grown-ups. Meantime, the suspicious Catholic villagers, wary of the sudden influx of Jewish interlopers from Paris, must learn to put aside their own suspicions and surrender to friendship.
