Israeli’s love to dance! What began as simple folk dancing quickly evolved into something the entire world came to love about Israel. Two extraordinary women, Baroness Batsheva Rothschild of France who formed the Batsheva Dance Company, and her friend, the legendary modern dancer Martha Graham are considered the founders of the modern Israeli dance movement. Starting in the 1950’s Martha Graham worked with young Israeli dancer’s, doing away with the European “tutus” and classical training and formed a style of modern dance that came from the earth. Within a few short years the Batsheva Dance company became a worldwide sensation! This is a film that is guaranteed to have you dancing in the aisles!
