Screened at the prestigious Venice Film Festival, The Inheritance revolves around the lives of five adult children in a large Israeli Palestinian family. Their relationships are intimately examined—from that of the would-be mayor of a Muslim village close to the Israeli-Lebanese border, to the youngest sister who has fallen in love with a visiting Christian Englishman much to the shame of the town.
