Israel's "Independence Generation"-those who fought in 1948 to for the freedom of their country-are now seniors, many of whom, like Ephraim and Moshka, struggle to reconcile the country they helped give birth to with the nation they now see before them. When an elderly woman is run over in front of their favorite café, Ephraim and Moshka are infuriated. But for Ephraim, the woman's identity awakens his long buried righteous anger. Determined to teach the young generation a lesson and take the country back to the days when solidarity and deeply held moral values were all that mattered, Ephraim enlists Moshka on a brutal journey of retribution with no judge or jury.
