The Hilltops

Toronto director Igal Hecht travels into the West Bank to give an inside look at the Jewish settlements that have been set up on the hilltops of Judea and Samaria, often against the wishes of the local Arab population and the Israeli government. Hecht interviews these passionate people, and films Israeli soldiers as they try to remove one of these small outposts. Hecht is a prolific local filmmaker who has attracted a following with his often-provocative films such as Not in My Name (2005), Shield of Solomon (2008) and My Flag (2009). http://www.tjff.com/film-info.php?id=359
