Heart Brothers

In Israel, Salim, an Arab student, survived thanks to the heart of a young Jewish soldier, killed by his army buddy. Salim tells his unlikely story, within a context where men are divided by politics and religion. He was able to meet with his donor's parents for, contrary to many countries, Israeli law enables anonymity to be lifted. Beyond this exceptional human bond, deemed impossible by some, "Heart Brothers" also explores the many medical, religious and existential facets of organ donation. It is first and foremost a reflection on life itself.
