Facing the Nazi Era: Conversations in Southern Germany

This video documents interviews with 23 Germans (ages 18 to 84), in the southern German university town of Tuebingen in 2008. Part One, 'That Which Happened,' relates the events of the Holocaust and WW2--and their effects--through the lens of German non-Jews. Part Two, 'Coming to Terms with the Past,' documents how Germany as a country is struggling to come to terms with the Holocaust. This part includes a special focus on Tuebingen's re-emerging Jewish community.
