Zubin and I

World-renowned conductor Zubin Mehta is the Artistic Director/Conductor for Life of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (IPO). The filmmaker, a writer for the popular Israeli and American TV show In Treatment, queries Mehta to understand the maestro’s complex relationship with the orchestra’s musicians. The documentary develops like a musical work. As it builds, the filmmaker reveals that his grandmother, Klaris Sarvas, was the first harpist of the IPO in the days of Arturo Toscanini and Leonard Bernstein. Directed by Ori Sivan.
