The Lost Tribe of the Sephardic Jews

The Lost Tribes is a present day mystery of descendants of the Jews who fled the Spanish Inquisition and settled in South America. Many of these people assimilated, converted to Christianity and attended church on Sundays. However, in the privacy of their homes they observed Shabbat and lived a Jewish life. With extensive interviews from members of the Jewish community, scholars and non-Jewish descendants, this documentary explores how some of the current generation is discovering their Jewish heritage. Bringing these people back to Judaism, “may be the greatest rescue mission of all.” Rabbi Terry Bookman. http://www.miamijewishfilmfestival.com/articlenav.php?id=1258
