The Karski Report

A riveting account by Jan Karski, a courier for the Polish Government-in-exile during WWII. He was among the first to alert Allied leaders to the dire situation facing Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto. In 1978, Claude Lanzmann interviewed him, and a portion of that interview was included in his film Shoah. With The Karski Report, Lanzmann shares his entire interview with this intelligent and thoughtful individual. This film is a remarkable and historically important document, deepening our understanding of why the Allies responded (or failed to respond) as they did at the time. http://www.tjff.com/film-info.php?id=127
