December 31, 1990. The clock is ticking as the UN ultimatum for Iraqi troops to withdraw from Kuwait counts down and Saddam Hussein threatens Israel with Scud missiles. 23-yearold Luisa, a student in Jerusalem, receives constant phone calls from her parents in France, while her boyfriend Nathanael, a young French painter, works as a security guard in East Jerusalem. They, like their friends and neighbors, continue to laugh and love even as the reality of the situation is felt and Israelis don gas masks and seal themselves in special safe rooms. Co-starring Lior Ashkenazi.
