Kaddish (Vitkin)

According to a legend told by ancient Jewish books, in every generation there are 36 righteous men who live unrecognized, and the world’s existence depends on their virtuousness. This film tells about an extraordinary destiny of one of such men. Yitzchok Zilber was born in 1917 and got to live a long life full of challenges. One can say what was in store for him was to enter a fight with the twentieth century and to emerge from that battle with his head held high. His name turned into a legend, and his life was studded with wonders… The film uncovers the unknown history of the century by exploring one real destiny. ( Source )
