In 1948, the changes of a group of older Arabs are documented. In their own words, they tell of the minutes and days when they were sent into exile and had to assume a whole new identity. They describe the brutality they were exposed to and their fears of massacres and deportation. The men speak without accusations or protest. It makes the movie extra strong.
