A selection of Eugene Levy’s early work, featuring forgotten pilots, variety shows and student films. Featuring: Stay Tuned (1976), a variety show with Levy alongside Ben Gordon, Jayne Eastwood and Mary Ann MacDonald that was CBC’s answer to Saturday Night Live; Global TV pilot 1774 (1978), a dark satire of American history, starring Levy, Saul Rubinek, Catherine O’Hara and Dave Thomas; Dan Goldberg’s (future producer of Old School and The Hangover) McMaster student film, A Day Off (1969) with a memorable cameo by Levy as a men’s clothing salesman; a few classic pieces from SCTV; and more.
