Poster for The Story of a Murder After her liberation from the concentration camp Ruth Bodenheim returned to her hometown in West Germany a completely broken person. At the age of seventeen she had been deported to a brothel in Poland first and later to a concentration camp. With much patience and love, her then fiancé, Dr. Martin, who married her after returning, can awaken new will to live in her. But the terrible past comes to life again when the person responsible for the deportation of the Jews, the mayor Zwischenzahl, reappears ten years later as a candidate and is elected mayor.
