The 18th Annual Louisville Jewish Film Festival Feb. 6-March 1, presented by the Jewish Community Center, includes a film that has special significance for Louisville. Titled “Rosenwald,” it’s about Julius Rosenwald (1862-1932), the Sears Roebuck & Co. executive who contributed about $4.4 million to help finance a system of schools in the early 1900s for African American students across the south — including more than a half-dozen in Louisville.
