Mel Gibson’s vile, obscenity-laden tirade against female Daily Telegraph photographer
Gibson was photographed leaving a screening of the film Far From Men, set at the outset of the Algerian War in 1954.

Gibson had happily mingled with theatregoers attending the Australian Israeli Film Festival, which was showing Matti Caspi – Confession at the Paddington cinema at the same time.

Canberra’s Israeli Film Festival offers range of contemporary features and shorts
Richard Moore, the first-time artistic director of the Australia Israel Cultural Exchange Israeli Film Festival, is not Jewish. But his wife is, and they lived in Israel for several years. He’s also been a producer and director of documentaries, head of arts at ABC TV, and executive director of the Melbourne and Brisbane Film Festivals, among other roles, so he brings to the job a range of relevant experience and perspectives.
